Summary
Isopod and amphipod crustaceans in the grounds of the Akasaka Imperial Gardens, Tokyo, were surveyed in 2003. As the results, six species of the terrestrail isopod crustaceans and one species of amphipod were recorded. The most dominant species were _Haplophthalmus danicus _and _Mongoloniscus katakurai_, which are considered to indicate relatively well preserved nature. _Ligidium japonicum _and _Spherillo obscurus_, indicating a well reserved nature, also occurred in this area, though their population is small. |
